The "Bushism" Of The Day

It would be helpful if we opened up ANWR (Arctic National Wildlife Refuge). I think it's a mistake not to. And I would urge you all to travel up there and take a look at it, and you can make the determination as to how beautiful that country is.

If you haven’t found Pandora Internet Radio yet….

may I respectfully suggest you RUN do not walk to the Pandora website immediately if not sooner?  At $36 a year for a subscription, it’s cheap enough for anyone.  And if that’s still a bit expensive for you, you can get most of the yummies free - though there are ads if you don’t subscribe.

The best thing?  YOU choose what you want to hear, setting up your own “stations”.  This is music the way you want it - now and for the future.

Bless the beasts and children….  Pandora’s Box may be open, but it’s NOT full of nasties this time around!

Taking a HARD look at the Business of Politics,

I and a couple of friends are now blogging about just that.  Find us here:  Taking a HARD look at the Business of Politics.  We promise to administer Discipline, and it’s NOT going to feel good.

It’s a dirty job, but we’re up to the task!

Net Neutrality from another perspective

This gentleman’s blog has a GREAT post: Net Neutrality and the DMCA. I highly recommend you read it thoroughly, and then pass it on to everyone you know who’s concerned about the whole ‘net neut stink. For instance, before I even posted this myself, I emailed it to my friend bj because I KNEW she would blog about it asap.

This could be VERY IMPORTANT!

The realities of satband and a web-dev business

We’d all like to think that upgrading from dialup to satband will fix all the access problems we’ve ever had, trying to run a business outside a large city.

The reality:  you have to have dialup as backup.  Where I live, that “clear view of the southern sky” goes south as soon as we have “weather”.  Which we do all year in a good year.

Without dialup, I’d be up the proverbial creek without a paddle.  Consider that carefully before you decide you don’t NEED to keep your dialup provider.

Every day, I read the "Bushism" for the day -

and it becomes ever more evident over time just how inept this particular president is with not only words themselves but using them appropriately to get his point across.

Painful.

Entertaining, AND food for thought…. The Payroll Employment Game

Here’s an interesting Game.  It’s not your normal online game at all…. this one’s got some meat on its bones:  it’s a way of feeling out how you would fare if you were trading on the markets, betting on the BLS report of the current employment situation (released first Friday each month).

The Game allows you to do a number of things to hone your skills.  And it’s fun!  Give it a shot….

Test a graphic insert

since the map thing borked the validation big time….

My horse wishing for his buddies

And actually, only one little error, which I was able to edit out, hopefully without screwing anything up.
