I spend a lot of time being nasty about the fact that the ambulance chasing attorneys get to advertise on tv etc. in this state.
It’s rare when I run across someone who seems to feel the same way: read the latest post at Tom’s Design Journal.
We’d all like to think that upgrading from dialup to satband will fix all the access problems we’ve ever had, trying to run a business outside a large city.
The reality: you have to have dialup as backup. Where I live, that “clear view of the southern sky” goes south as soon as we have “weather”. Which we do all year in a good year.
Without dialup, I’d be up the proverbial creek without a paddle. Consider that carefully before you decide you don’t NEED to keep your dialup provider.
