Heading out shortly….

for elk hunt. It would be lovely to get a nice spike bull this year - we’ve been really short on quality meat for some years now, the hunting has been pretty bad due to the drought.

And not long after this hunt, I have a tag for a buck as well. Hunting has been slow for deer for the same reason: the drought. We’ve had a really wet year so far in 2005, so maybe we’re starting a wetter cycle again. We can only hope….

    No elk again this year. Bummer, that. They haven’t recovered well yet apparently.
