Greatness is not where we stand, but in what direction we are moving. We must set sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it - but sail we must, and not drift, nor lie at anchor. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Remember the appliances problems?

Well guess what? Another one died Monday…. the “little” freezer. Only 8 years old, it’s a Kenmore (that is, Sears branded). The refrigerator that died (only 8 years old as well) was a Kenmore too. Guess what brand I won’t ever buy again?

The “big” freezer is 28 years old. I’m buying another one just like it….

You’re buying another 28-year-old one? Where do you find those?

You have to haunt the Pioneer Shopper/Nifty Nickel newspaperlets, and look at a BUNCH of “dogs” before you find a keeper….

I’m still looking, but since we probably will NOT get an elk while we’re out here, I won’t need one before next spring anyway…..
