The "Bushism" Of The Day

This is what I'm good at. I like meeting people, my fellow citizens, I like interfacing with them.

Remember the appliances problems?

Well guess what? Another one died Monday…. the “little” freezer. Only 8 years old, it’s a Kenmore (that is, Sears branded). The refrigerator that died (only 8 years old as well) was a Kenmore too. Guess what brand I won’t ever buy again?

The “big” freezer is 28 years old. I’m buying another one just like it….

For those who consider freelancing

it can be iffy to know what’s a good site, and what’s not. getafreelancer.com seems to be a pretty good one, judging by the experiences of a couple of friends of mine. From experiences of the same friends, the scammer/ripoff artist mentality at Scriptlance.com is the opposite - this company has screwed them, failing to pay what they’re owed and cancelling their accounts when they tried to withdraw money to which they were fully entitled.

Pretty poor way to run a business!

Helping victims of Katrina

So much dreck already floating around out there! Myths, outright lies, rumors…. the shadows are full - and here’s a site which is straight-arrow on what’s true and what is decidedly NOT true.

Hurricane Katrina: We SHALL overcome….

Please make this site your FIRST STOP, before doing anything, donating anything, or repeating anything.

Thanks, Conspiracy Girl, for doing this!
