The "Bushism" Of The Day

It's very interesting when you think about it, the slaves who left here to go to America, because of their steadfast and their religion and their belief in freedom, helped change America.

Juggling ~

isn’t going “great” but I’m not buried under dropped balls yet. Site redo is coming along, up and working mostly. Setting up the Taft theme for a “tales” blog on Moonlight - with a few other “non-slickish” themes for those who find Taft too hard to deal with…. tweaks. And more tweaks. That’s life in the website business…. And then there’s the pages and pages of domain names I found that are all available and that I’d like to have. Hundreds of them, thousands of dollars’ worth. *sigh*

Redoing my old “Moonlight” site

the last few days. Talk about antique! It’s still in tables for the moment while I get the rest of it “straightened out”, then I’ll work on “untabling” the structure…. I’ll be adding WP to it as well - I may use the Taft theme specifically for that….

More “than I can juggle” ~

again…. Now I’m writing stuff for another NWN community effort - this one for some custom tilesets for use with the game. And we’re leaving for a week, a week from yesterday - in the middle of me trying to figure out what this group wants as far as writing. They do a writers’ group chat thing Monday and Thursday evenings, so I’ll hit the Monday one, but not the Thursday one or the following Monday. Oh well, should be interesting!

Got the D*I*Y Planner pages all printed today

and sliced apart. Have to buy a F-C Classic size punch tomorrow, since that’s the backbone I have available - fortunately, they had ONE left at the St. George store, and JJ (the nice guy there) put it on hold for me. So I’ll be back in business by tomorrow evening, and THAT will be a relief! I just can’t be bothered with printing a dozen discrete lists any more….

Thanks again Doug - even if your blog decided I was a candidate for “deletion by Spam Karma”!

College sports and women’s basketball ~

I’m NOT a fan of NCAA college sports under normal circs because that cognomen generally seems to specifically pertain to “men’s college sports” which are at bottom, top and everywhere in between simply “minor league” feeders for the major leagues in most sports (leaving baseball out, because it has REAL minor leagues - which system should be forcibly implemented for ALL major league sports IMMEDIATELY IF NOT SOONER.)

However, anyone who’s been watching women’s college basketball the last few years should by this time have arrived at the conclusion that this sport IS WHAT COLLEGE SPORTS SHOULD BE ABOUT. Period.

The men should be force-fed what the women have shown us. Or the men should not be playing.

Pet peeve….

REALLY a rant on this…. WHY cannot people who sing the National Anthem whether publicly or otherwise, just somehow manage to pronounce the word “perilous” properly! Asinine - what is WRONG with these people? Even the Mormon Tabernacle choir - arguably the most well known choral group today - doesn’t get it right [no surprise there since so many of them are from Utah or “educated” here. And no, I’m not going off on THAT rant in this post…. *sigh*]
