The spreadsheet project
turned out to be a database project - and a hugely complicated one at that. I’m not getting along on it very well….

things should be relatively stable/normal around here - whatever “normal” is! Still not sure about various uses of things here - like “pages”. Might eventually redo the site index with them? Don’t know….
WHY adding a comment leads only to a “404 not found” page! *sigh* The support forum isn’t any help on this either….
from Jeremiah tonight. Pretty nifty; now all I have to do is come up with real area photos instead of the icons!
and goddess knows I don’t watch tv! (I listen to sports as my husband has them on “behind” me….)
Anyway, I’ve come to believe that there is ONLY ONE PERSON writing all the total crap ads for tv these days - and s/he’s totally unimaginative, can’t speak or spell or write decent English, and is only concerned with how many marginally-employable creeps the creep-machine can churn out in a 40 hour work-week. Puerile, stupid, totally NON-innovative…. even the beer ads are junk, and they at least used to be fun.
You know what’re the best ads on tv these days? The Jack Daniels ones…. and the DeBeers diamonds one they only show once upon a Christmas - you know, the one where he takes her out in 2 feet of snow (in her $500 Italian boots) and the tree lights up? Yeah….
And I mean that in all sincerity. I need to start redoing my old (um - make that ANTIQUE!) personal sites, as well as the one I’m going to eventually earmark for a business gateway. Since HTML, CSS, etc. ARE what I call fun, I’m looking forward to the development process!
I’ve completed the first draft of the database for the town secretary. Not sure how much tweaking she will want. I’ve redone the page template and css for the non-prof site, validated it, and now have to see how the internal pages mesh. The module is a bit out of the running at the moment due to some “internal rearrangements”. But I have added one thing: later in the week I’ve got a job setting up some passworded areas on a website for a homeowners’ association a hundred miles away - I AM getting paid for this one though, AND they’re paying mileage! WooHoo!
