Jeff wants to post problems on his bridge blog, to which of course solutions will also be posted; however, he wants the solution to be “hidden” from the original post so that others will be able to comment on the problem without seeing the solution, yet be able to access the solution and post as appropriate there as well.
So I was thinking that a quicktag like the “more” functionality would work. But that’s set up within wp’s core code, which would mean an ugly hack…. So maybe the quicktag for needs to contain a link setup - and Jeff would need to write the solution post, stuff it into the Solutions category (which will be hidden by default), then link the problem post to the solution post.
Now, will that work? We’ll see…. So this will be the “problem” post….

After a partial server/provider move that turned out “wrong” for so very many reasons, I thought we’d just have to stay with Below10, even though they’ve done some seriously wonky stuff in the last few months - stuff that prevented most of the php scripts we use on a daily basis from working.
Then I ran across Network Redux who are less expensive for more space/bandwidth, and provide the same cPanel I’m familiar with for years now (which Mosso did not, having their own proprietary one - and which my clients decidedly did NOT appreciate!) NR migrated our whole reseller setup (into separate accounts, mine and my daughter/business partner’s, instead of having them munged as we’d had before) in about 2 hours total - and sorted out the minor confusions we had due to different ways of handling support etc.
So things are back in working order, and were “out of order” for such a short time no one even noticed. I still rather resent that Below10 forced this move, but then again, I’m saving money, so suppose I shouldn’t complain!

It’s called WindowsLiveWriter, it’s from Microsoft (which probably makes it anathema to some), it’s in beta right now, but so far seems to work quite well.
Little bugs: borks validation inserting graphics or maps, and creating a new post opens a whole new instance of the program (fairly silly). Otherwise, I’m extremely happy with it. It may prompt me to post a bit more often!
